Biotecnologia Aplicada is a vehicle of Iberian-Latin- American scientists working in different fields of modern biotechnology for the diffusion of their experiences, and results. Some of the main topics that are considered for publication are the following: (a) Molecular genetics and recombinant DNA technology; (b) Therapeutic and prophylactic uses of molecules obtained by biotechnological methods; (c) Immunotechnology and development of diagnostic ethods; (d) Chemistry, biochemistry and design of molecules with biological activity; (e) Application of recombinant DNA techniques and its products in agriculture and animal science; (f) Tissue culture; (g) Transgenesis; (h) Fermentation, ecovery and purification of biotechnological products; (i) Scaling-up, plant design and economic evaluation; (j) Control and automation of processes.
